SELECTION CRITERIA

(Criteria listed in the order of importance)


Outstanding Philanthropist

This award is presented to an individual or family with a proven record of exceptional generosity. Recipients will have demonstrated outstanding civic and charitable responsibility and generosity, which encourage others to take philanthropic leadership roles on a community, national and/or international level. Your nomination should include the following information with specific examples:

Evidence of direct gift support

Description of impact of gift support

Evidence of encouragement and motivation given to others to take leadership roles in philanthropy

Description of participation in gift support of other nonprofit organizations in the community, nationally and/or internationally

Evidence of philanthropic support of innovative approaches to solving problems

 

Outstanding Philanthropic Organization

The organization must have demonstrated outstanding commitment through financial support and through encouragement and motivation of others to take leadership roles toward philanthropy and community involvement. List your nominee's achievements, including:

Evidence of direct gift support indicated by support of projects in the community, nationally and/or internationally

Description of impact of gift support on projects

Description of specific achievements accomplished through the organization's efforts

Evidence of encouragement and motivation given to others to take leadership roles toward philanthropy and community involvement

Evidence of philanthropic support of innovative approaches to solving problems

Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser

The individual eligible for this nomination must have demonstrated exceptional leadership as a volunteer for a major fundraising project for more than one nonprofit organization. The recipients(s) should demonstrate exceptional skill coordinating and motivating groups of volunteers for fundraising projects for the benefit of charitable institutions, and a commitment to the advancement of philanthropy. List your nominee's specific achievements for the past year or several years, such as:

Evidence of quality and organizational ability in fundraising

Description of time, effort and financial commitment

Description of fundraising goals achieved by his/her effort

Evidence of success in recruiting and motivating others

Description of participation in other local, national and /or international nonprofit organizations

 

Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award

The youth award is given to an individual or group of individuals that has shown outstanding philanthropic effort within their community. Traditionally, this award is given to an individual or group high school age or younger. Those receiving this award have both grown through their experience and have provided a benefit to the community they serve. Please provide the following information in support of your nomination for this award:

Background on the individual or group being nominated

Description of philanthropic effort undertaken

Results of this effort

Who or what was helped through this effort

What the individual or group learned from this effort

 

Outstanding Professional Fundraiser

The individual eligible for this nomination must have demonstrated exceptional leadership in a major fundraising project or nonprofit organization. The recipients(s) should demonstrate exceptional skill coordinating and motivating groups of volunteers for fundraising projects for the benefit of charitable institutions, a commitment to advancing the fundraising profession, and a commitment to the advancement of philanthropy. List your nominee's specific achievements for the past year or several years, such as:

1.    Evidence of quality and organizational ability in fundraising

2.    Description of fundraising goals achieved by his/her effort

3.    Evidence of success in recruiting and motivating others

4.    Description of participation in organizations/activities to advance the fundraising profession

5.    Description of volunteer time, effort and financial commitment to support other nonprofit organizations

 

President's Award

This award is not open for nomination. Recipients are selected at the discretion of the Chapter President with the approval of the Chapter Board of Directors.
